AWARD has been used on procurements valued at over £60 billion and has a rapidly growing user base. AWARD is often the customer's chosen method for deciding who wins the business. Additionally the selection of AWARD as part of the UK Office of Government Commerce's eSourcing Framework means that AWARD is increasingly the chosen evaluation tool for UK Government bids.
As well as supporting buyers AWARD is also a proven and powerful tool for bidders:
Sometimes buyers use AWARD in the background, with no obvious impact on the bidder. Sometimes the bidder may be asked to participate in the use of AWARD more directly, for example, by answering questions in an AWARD Bidder Interaction Offline Answer Sheet and establishing traceability from their answers to supporting information in the bid. In either case, it makes sense for bidders to ensure their bid is written with knowledge of the customer's evaluation tool, and to understand the processes it supports. Knowledge of AWARD can enable the bid to be presented in the best possible way, with key win themes linked to the customer's evaluation criteria.
QinetiQ Commerce Decisions assists bidders to make sure their bids can be evaluated smoothly and effectively in AWARD. QinetiQ Commerce Decisions offers three levels of support to bidders:
QinetiQ Commerce Decisions operates a strict policy for avoiding conflicts of interest and, therefore, a consultant assigned to a bidder's project will not have worked on the "buy side" of the relevant project, and will not have knowledge of, or access to, any privileged information.
